The Weekly Gist
The gist of each lesson out this week.
Here comes the Sun 🎶
Monday: How is Sunlight Special?
We are creatures of sunlight. As ancient cultures had it, we are the Sun’s daughters and sons. The Sun is not a faraway object; it is, in essence, a being — and a central one.

Sunlight activates seratonin and regulates melatonin production in our brains, energizing us, boosting our mood, and helping us sleep better. Sunshine also strengthens our immune system through vitamin D receptors on our skin.
Bask in the light — it increases our sense of wholeness.
Tuesday: What to think about ‘Colonizing Mars’
Video: NASA On Air: NASA’s Curiosity Sees Blue Sunset On Mars (5/21/2015)
To colonize means to steal, appropriate, dominate, and control. We should discover, adventure, and explore, but not colonize.
Colonization has served only kings, queens, and their courts at the expense of interspecies dignity.
Sunlight on Mars is about 44% what it is on Earth. It is less powerful and of low resolution due to the dust particles in the Martian atmosphere.
Psychology of color and the science behind humans’ need for sunlight would not advise moving to Mars.
Wednesday: Our Blue Origin: Earth’s Atmosphere
Earth's cosmic shield is a gaseous bubble that runs about 10,000 km upward. It scatters sunlight, making our skies and oceans appear blue.
Without this special protective atmosphere, Earth would be much darker.
Our atmosphere is the reason we can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and wondrous sunsets that make life meaningful.
Thursday: The Age of Electricity
We step into the Age of Electricity, driven by digital infrastructure such as IoT, data centers, electric vehicles, cryptocurrency mining, cloud services, and an AI-intensive future.
Electricity is no longer just a utility — it’s a geopolitical asset, a currency of innovation, and a new layer of economic and financial sovereignty like never before.
