Where Does Water on Earth Come From?
We drink a fluid mixture of particles that has been traveling the Universe for eons.
There are a couple of theories on the origin of water on Earth but most scientists coincide that water on Earth comes from asteroids, meteorites and comets that collided with Earth’s surface billions of years ago.
Specifically, chondrites and chondrules. Oddly enough, water comes from where (perhaps) we’d least expect it: rocks.
